Panama looks to rebuff nations that boycott it as 'duty asylum'

PANAMA CITY: The legislature of Panama on Tuesday reported a bill that would step against nations that put it on their boycotts of "duty shelters" in the wake of the Panama Papers disclosures. 

The enactment would force duty, exchange and movement measures on organizations or people from those nations that "take part in practices that separate or infer harm to financial interests" of Panama, an announcement said. 

The move could be coordinated at France, which set Panama back on its national boycott of expense shelters in April taking after the Panama Papers reports, which indicated how a portion of the world's well off stashed resources in seaward firms made by the Panamanian law office Mossack Fonseca. 

Colombia could likewise be focused for keeping duties on Panama material imports notwithstanding a World Trade Organization administering calling for them to be scrapped.
